Project
A personal cover study — my own concept, set inside The New Yorker’s masthead template as a learning exercise. Not an actual commission.
The concept and Illustration are mine: a single hand drawing a smile against the rain on the inside of a window — a small act of cheer against weather. The piece uses The New Yorker’s familiar layout because the goal was to practice editorial cover discipline: making an Illustration that survives the logo, the price block, the white margin, all the typographic furniture.
The New Yorker masthead and trade dress are trademarks of Condé Nast. This is a personal study using the template as a learning exercise — not a real commission, not endorsed by or affiliated with the magazine.
